Jen Gray

The real south Florida Illuminati starts with Jennifer Gray, a true artist of light and shadow. She claims to halt her breath, standing so still the dead of night will come alive with color. Her skill extends from humble beginnings working in the high intensity of south Florida nightclubs. The experience taught her to find calm and silence in the chaos that is nightlife. She feeds off the energy of the club goers. Their every movement in dance and seduction ignite her senses, resulting in breath taking imagery.

When asked what drove her to nightlife she responds, “Working in nightlife and entertainment is intense. I have the best lighting money can buy, but it moves. I've got some of the hottest models in the country, but they are drunk and dancing. I've got a million dollar background, but it vibrates. I'm forced to deal with a thousands extras I never invited to my set. A tripod is out of the question and my shot is cluttered with smoke! Working in a nightclub is absolutely unforgiving. It's always a challenge and I love it!” She says the only down side of her job is, "I get stepped on A LOT!”

Her enthusiasm as a shutterbug has led to a versatile portfolio, from fashion to fighting. She began her career in entertainment as a makeup artist in 2006, quickly jumping to photography and launched www.jenspirit.com in 2007. She’s worked with publications and websites resulting in an impressive portfolio. She currently works with WHATMIAMI and WHATLAUDERDALE as the resident photographer tirelessly covering events.
