
October marks the peaks of truffle season, when Alba, Italy proudly captivates the gastronomic world with its fresh crop of the rare and highly- coveted White Truffle Mushrooms, also known as the “Diamonds of the Kitchen.”
On Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 7:15pm, Chef de Cuisine Ezio Gamba of Cioppino, Sommelier Jorge Mendoza and special guest Fiorenzo Dogliani of Batasiolo SpA winery presents a six-course pairing menu of fine delicacies.
The Ritz Carlton on Key Biscayne is offering this prix-fixe menu at $175 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The event will begin with a reception and greeting with Fiorenzo Dogliani, followed by the six-course dinner at the Cioppino Private Ocean View Dining Room. Reservations are required by phoning 305.365.4286. Only 30 reservations are available.
Dogliani brings with him his favorite wine labels, including Barolos, Barbaresco and Moscato D'asti, as well as a selection of white truffles freshly gathered from his homeland. Guests will be guided through these rare wines, each expertly matched with the earthy, woody flavors of white truffle dishes prepared exclusively for the evening. See menu below.
