Daytime activities at the Barnacle Historic State Park include touring the historic site, picnicking, and wildlife viewing. Concerts and other events are held frequently throughout the year.
Home to pioneer boat designer Ralph Middleton Munroe, The Barnacle and surrounding grounds offer visitors a rare glimpse at a bygone era.
The entrance is within sight of the Coconut Grove Playhouse. There is no parking available in the park itself, except for those with disabilities, however there is a public parking lot next to the playhouse and street parking throughout the neighborhood.
Throughout the years, The Barnacle Society presents numerous activities including moonlight concerts and outdoor films in an effort to raise funds to support this lovely Historic State Park.
For additional information about the park, please contact the Park Manager, Katrina Boler at Katrina.Boler@dep.state.fl.us and if you have any questions regarding The Barnacle, or are interested in volunteering or becoming a member, please visit the Florida State Parks website or contact The Barnacle Society.
A beautiful park in a beautiful area of town. History and nature all in one place, what else can one say.
