Baru Urbano is a new, trendy spot in the downtown Miami's Mary Brickell Village, which offers a wide variety of Latin American fares and al fresco dining. The service at Baru Urbano has been less than desirable since opening, though probably due to growing pains as the staff gets familiar with the menu items and drinks.
The cheese taquenos are all the rave here, with its accompanied green herb dipping sauce. This is also a good spot to have a tasty risotto prepared just right. At night, Baru Urbano becomes a lounge which gets packed with downtown's working class and features a DJ to set the mood.
The place is nice, good in the evening for dancing but the food was ok. Great place to hang out and do happy hour.
