One of South Beach's most popular nightclubs, Cameo has three floors with a wrap-around balcony, a small dance floor and large bar downstairs, another bar on the second floor, and a VIP room on the third floor - with stripper poles to tempt the most daring girls to show what they've got.
The music here is mostly electro and house, depending on which floor you decide to hang out, with the sound pumped through a serious system (one of the trademarks of the Opium Group) and backed up by a crazy, dazzling amount of visual effects, lights, and lasers.
Cameo tends to get really packed on the weekend but it is still somehow mandatory to wait about an hour to get in - which makes the venue appear more exclusive than it is! There is no valet and trying to find a meter would be a joke, so your best bet is to park in the garages located on Washington and 15th Street, where you will pay about $10 for a reasonable amount of time.
A Vodka Cranberry runs about $10 but expect your drinks to cost around $14 and, of course, to be served drowned in ice.
