The News Lounge’s roots stem from the News Café on Ocean Drive, which was founded in 1988, but unlike its big brother, it has a limited bar menu, and features an eclectic, modern, “Metropolis” décor with a beautiful 100 seat indoor video bar, unique lounge and Fantasy Room, plus a 100 seat outdoor space.

A mini version of Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road featuring an outdoor Pool Table, large outdoor video screen, swings, bed for lounging plus a variety of seating areas for your private enjoyment. The News Lounge is located at the center of 55th Street Station, located just north of Soyka The Restaurant, across the street from Andiamo Brick Oven Pizza and Leo’s Car wash and adjacent to Sushi Siam.

The News Lounge features house and special guests DJ’s and live music, art installations, and has a varied entertainment program each night of the week.

Last week was the third time

Last week was the third time I'd been at News Lounge, (the first time was to see Palo), I was there as an attendee of the Better British Business Bureau, and the weather was so good that we could sit outside and drink.

My girlfriend and I agreed that the next time we get a hot date (and when will that be?!...) News Lounge would be a great place to take them, there was great music and the lighting and colours were very subdued, sexy, intimate. In the meantime we enjoyed the BBBB meeting and went on to Churchill's with my paesans!
