South Pointe Park in South Beach is a wonderful urban park in Miami Beach — and it is arguably the nicest. The park is a gem located at the very south end tip of Miami Beach (South Beach) with spectacular waterfront views, beach access, a playground, interactive water features, bathrooms, pedestrian paths, a dock, and much more.
The park is a great place to spend an afternoon for both residents and tourists. Whether one wants to picnic, take a stroll, people watch, or enjoy the scenery, South Pointe Park is a facinating and enjoyable public space. For those looking to catch a bite to eat, there is even Smith & Wollensky Steakhouse right on the park grounds.
The park underwent a major renovation in 2009. Hargreaves Associates, of New York City, was hired to design and update this bayfront park at a cost of around $22 million. It one of the largest urban parks in Miami Beach.
